This particular car has an interesting history. It was dispatched from the Morgan Motor Company on 29th August 1929. It spent its life, prior to the war, in Malaya. The story goes that when the Japanese invaded in the early 1940’s the owner covered the Morgan with aircraft oil and buried it. It lay hidden until 1945. 

Specification: 

Water-cooled V-twin cylinder JAP (John Alfred Prestwich) engine 996 cc capacity

No gearbox 

Sliding dog rear end 2 speeds forward, no reverse 

It is currently owned by Greg Stevens in Queensland Australia. Greg is the proprietor of Fuel Tanks & Radiator Service , http://www.ftrs.com.au.

I came into contact with Greg when I was searching for a supplier who could fabricate a brand new honeycomb style radiator core for my Austin 7 , now I have a new radiator and a new friend ! This home is appealing for sponsors since they have not been able to settle their home rental for a few months and  also their utility bills amounting to about RM2,000.00.  Provisions needed urgently for the under-privileged children (33 of them) are: Rice, biscuits, sugar, milo, horlicks, nescafe, cooking oil, fernleaf  full cream milk powder and diapers/pampers.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: Please take note that, after a 12 month 'advisory period', effective 1st January 2012 every vintage and classic car participating in MSVCR events will be expected to have an operational fire extinguisher on board. Events where a fire extinguisher is mandatory will have that particular requirement included in the event instructions.

 

The General Committee requests all MSVCR members to give their full support to this initiative as part of an educational process to make means to fight in-car fires immediately available. Do not depend on other owners to carry fire appliances - do your part in always having one on board.
