A great turn-out of 70 cars from across the entire peninsular (including a great effort from the Johor guys) made the event quite spectacular. The Concours classes were won by a Bentley, a Corvette & an Opel Manta indicating the diversity of the cars taking part. On saturday night we crossed the Penang Bridge to display the cars at AutoCity in Juru, some members choosing the Soho Pub & others the Tau restaurant as their re-fueling stop. We didn't stay too late as we had an early start for the round-island event on Sunday. This was divided into a 'Fun Run' and a series of 'special stages' requiring navigators & tulip diagrams. We toured far & wide; Geogetown, Batu Ferringhi, Balik Pulau, Teluk Kumbar, Batu Maung & Bayan Lepas were all on the route.
The special stage event was also divided into categories depending on the age of the competing vehicle (not driver!). Winners were David Thomson, Raewyn McBain & Baskaran for the 3 classes.
