On 4th/5th March the Northern Region group drove south to meet central members for a weekend of (re)discovery in Taiping and surrounding areas. Most surprising of all, it didnt rain, so there as no need to battle windscreen wipers and weather equipment! Some arrived on saturday evening to enjoy a cool dinner beside the rain trees, the majority arrived sunday, meeting for breakfast in the town centre. After a small walking tour we set-off to Perak museum via Taiping lake garden, then to Antong coffee factory before driving out to Kuala Sepetang for a tasty lunch. Then we made a quick stop at a Charcoal factory before heading home.
