Kuala Lumpur, 25th October 2025:  Our October breakfast drive took members from Central Malaysia up into the Genting lowlands, beginning with a cheerful early morning meet-up at the BHPetrol station on the KL–Karak Highway. From there, the convoy enjoyed a scenic run to Leng’s Café in Bentong, Pahang, where a hearty breakfast and lively conversation set the tone for the day.

After breakfast, the group continued on to the National Elephant Conservation Centre at Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, for an enjoyable and educational visit. It was the same weekend as the Asean meetings in Kuala Lumpur so we were especially pleased to be joined by the President (no not THAT President), our club President, David Thomson, who made the trip up from Singapore in his faithful 1960 Morris Minor Convertible.

It was a fine turnout of cars and members, rewarded with cool hill air, light traffic, and just enough mechanical drama to keep things interesting — including a wayward gearstick and some misbehaving brakes, both promptly handled by our ever-resourceful members.

For those who opted for the “full menu,” the breakfast drive happily extended into lunch and afternoon tea, proving once again that good company, great cars, and Malaysian roads make the perfect combination. A thoroughly fun and memorable day out!
